Okay, so Thursday I was at Lola's (1008 Evans Ave, Valparaiso) having my hair done and we some how got onto the subject of 80's fashion and how some of it has come back into style (parachute pants, skinny jeans, straight legs, penny loafers, ballerina flats, the Farrah flip, argyle, leg warmers...) and I told my stylist, Brandy, that I had hair that was so feathered it met in the back of my head like butt cheeks. Brandy laughed and said she had a hard time imagining me spending all that time every single morning obsessing about my hair. It seems I have become very practical and low maintenance in my approach to "beauty" and am not nearly as vain as I was back then. And she is right, there is no stinking way I'd spend an hour and a half working to get every hair on top of my head into place perfectly now. (what's more, the real trick was keeping your hair that way all day long! Say it with me 'A-q-u-a-n-e-t', you know what I'm talking about :) ) Even for games (softball, basketball) I'd show up with my hair looking like a glam rock fashion plate (although it didn't last long in those cases) So Brandy, this one is for you. The picture file is a very old digital scan that is quite blurry; I no longer have any copies of this picture so this is the best I could do.
OMG!! What a blast to the past! That's too funny! Your hair looks perfectly-80's-perfect! TFS!

A-q-u-a-n-e-t! I can say it too! The stuff that could hold up a large building in a bottle! Love it, TFS!
