365/6) "It's too cold to snow." Can someone please tell me what that is supposed to mean? We have been under subzero temps for...well...weeks now and we've had at least two big snowfalls during these subzero temps. But still, every time I tell my husband that we are under yet another snow advisory or winter storm watch/warning he says to me, "It's too cold to snow."! Correct me if I'm wrong, it only snows when it's cold right? And aren't the friggin' Arctic and Antarctic cold places with lots of snow? Last time I checked they weren't hurting for snow (and the cold air is coming from the Arctic, cause the damn weatherman keeps calling this an "Arctic Blast"). I lived where it was 70degrees year round and we didn't have a snow problem there for sure. I have to be missing something. Of course, everytime he says it, I'm holding out hope that he is right somehow even though it defies logic, and I shake my head in agreement, "well, of course it's too cold to snow!" He hasn't been right yet...
It's supposed to snow several inches overnight and several more throughout the day tomorrow (and the temperature isn't supposed to reach above 10 degrees F with windchill well below 0), so I'm headed to the store to pick up the emergency "It's gonna blizzard get milk, bread, water, toilet paper and fill the gas tank" kit.
I've got this down to a science already this winter...anymore global warming and I'm going to be a pro. :-)
